Octosploration!

Sculpts done in Zbrush, hard-surface modeling in Autodesk Maya, textured in Zbrush, rendered with Arnold.

Some props based on my concept of a silly octopus rummaging through a sunken pirate ship. This curious fellow really just wants a snack, so he tosses about anything that isn't edible. But in his quest to find some food, he sees a variety of interesting trinkets left behind. On the pirate's desk, there is a pen and makeshift "inkwell," made from a skull. There are scrolls in bottles, and tons of gems and golden coins strewn about. In the background, there is even the skeleton of a beloved bird in a cage. A pet who didn't survive the crash, but his playful spirit lives on in his pose.
